GME Around the World: A Focused Section in JGME for International GME Scholars
The Journal of Graduate Medical Education (JGME) encourages authors from around the world to submit their research.
JGME launched its focused section, “GME Around the World,” to bring attention to the global nature of graduate medical education (GME) with an editorial in October 2024, “GME Around the World”: Introducing JGME’s New Section for International Perspectives in Graduate Medical Education, which also provides practical advice for submitting a manuscript for consideration. Find the Instructions for Authors page here.

“The ‘GME Around the World’ section in JGME marks the next step in our journal’s commitment to promoting geographical representation and diversity in medical education scholarship,” wrote the editorial’s authors Halah Ibrahim, MD, MEHP; Marije P. Hennus, MD, PhD, MSc Clin Ed; and Harm Peters, MD, MHPE. “More importantly, we envision that ‘GME Around the World’ will become a catalyst for sharing cross-cultural stories, fostering multinational collaborations, and ultimately enriching the field with diverse perspectives to drive innovation in graduate medical education worldwide.”
